Coonawarra's 2016 vintage was amongst the earliest on record. An ideal growing season of slightly above average temperatures and dry conditions in the lead up to harvest produced outstanding Chardonnay fruit with great flavour and aromatics
Parcels of Chardonnay were fermented and maturated for 14 months in 43% French (13% new) and 57% American (27% new) oak barrels, adding complexity, texture and suppleness. Eight percent of the blend was unoaked.
Appealing rich fruit aromas of white peach and citrus overlaid with vanilla and cashew nut notes.
