Wayne has been with Katnook since our "second chapter" began in 1980, making him one of Australia's longest serving and most successful winemakers.
Wayne cites the loves of his life as: his family; wine; fast cars (he owns two Bolwells which he built from scratch); water skiing and tennis. Oh and the odd drop of Guinness and Cooper’s Pale Ale are his favourite alternatives to wine.
With a background in horticulture in New Zealand, Chris Brodie joined the Katnook Estate team in 1997.
He oversees integrated viticultural management systems which take into account the four key elements for optimal grape quality: water, plant nutrition, pest and disease control and sunlight.
Cellar Door Manager
Since 1994, Michelle has offered the warmest welcome possible to visitors to Katnook Cellar Door. Michelle also manages the Katnook Cellar Club and functions with remarkable efficiency and professionalism.
And yes, she is Wayne's wife!
Trent qualified as a winemaker at the University of Adelaide and started winemaking with Katnook in 2011.
He is responsible for the day-to-day running of the winemaking operations and tastes/blends all Katnook wines with Senior Winemaker, Wayne Stehbens.
